Structure before decoration
I start with pages, navigation, content priorities, and what a visitor should be able to do. That keeps the design from becoming a collection of attractive sections with no clear job.
A visual system that can hold up
Typography, spacing, color, buttons, forms, and reusable components are treated as one system so new pages do not immediately start looking different.
Responsive from the beginning
Desktop, tablet, and mobile are designed as the same product. Mobile is not a compressed version added at the end.
